Capital Escapes Racing is more than just a triathlon club it is a network bringing people together in their training. We all know how hard it is to get motivated especially at this time of year, it is cold and dark and the events are way off but still we are trying to find that extra bit of inspiration to get out the door.
Capital Escapes was born from my desire to find someone to train with in order to for-fill my ambition of completing an Ironman, before i turn 30. A year on and we now have a growing number of members all constantly networking and finding new people to train with in their area and i have just 4 months left until i line up for Ironman South Africa!
As a registered British Triathlon Federation Club, coupled with the guidance and knowledge of an experienced coaching team, Capital Escapes gives you all the assistance you need for an active year ahead. We will soon be hosting complimentary weekly training sessions in all the disciplines of triathlon.
This may all look very much like a triathlon club but we don’t just stop there. Triathlon is a fast growing sport and the preparation process does ensure diversity in your training, however Capital Escapes covers a much broader spectrum of events and in turn captures a wider following. Just a few of the events members are competing in over the next six months are: the prestigious Marathon Des Sables, the 6day / 151 mile (243km) endurance race across the Sahara desert and London 2 Lands End, an event we are organising for a few of our intrepid members.
London 2 Lands End is 5 day challenge Capital Escapes have been approached to organised. We will be organising everything from weekly training sessions and kit sourcing to planning of the route in order to give the team, made up of novice cyclists, the best opportunity of completing this tough challenge.
However big or small your fitness goal for the year, we have the experience and the enthusiasm to help you get there. Or if you simply just want a friendly companion to cycle with, the CE network can provide it all.
